The Library’s computers offer full Internet access.
We offer free wireless service for patrons who bring their own laptop or other wireless devices to the Library. The Library also owns 6 laptops you can use if all the desktop computers are in use. Laptop owners must provide their own anti-virus and security systems. The Library is not responsible for any laptop crashes, etc.
- Computer use is limited to 1 hour per session if people are waiting.
- Computer printouts are 25 cents per page.
- The library offers classes for learning the computer. Please visit the library or call 973-471-1692 to make an appointment.
The John F. Kennedy Memorial Library has access to a wealth of databases on a variety of topics. To see what databases are available for you to use for free visit our Databases page.
Once you find a database you want to use, click the login button which will direct you to the BCCLS database page.
You will have to login using your 14 digit library card number. After you login you will have to select which database(s) you want to search.
Printing, Copying, Etc.
The JFK Memorial Library provides a photocopier and a printer for use by our patrons. We do not have a fax machine for public use.
There is a fee of 10 cents per black and white page, and 25 cents per color page. The fee for printing from the computer is 25 cents per page
There are 9 computers at the JFK Library for patron use. There are also 6 laptops available for use when all the desktops are occupied.
All of the public computers are connected to the internet. There is free WIFI for personal computers. Although we provide wireless internet access for your use, we are not qualified to provide technical support. If you have any problems accessing the internet service, please let us know.
The public computers are protected by a program that restores the computer to preset condition when it is restarted. Therefore you cannot save anything to any of the public computers. If you need to save something, save it to a portable drive.
Content sent across the internet is not secure. For your protection, please restart the computer when you have finished your session.
